How do I run an Auction

Auction allows you to list an item for bidding during your live show. Only one auction can run at a time, and it can only be started while you’re hosting a live show. Check out the step-by-step walk through below:

  1. While hosting your live show, click on the three dots located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. From the menu options, select Auctions.
  3. Click on ‘Start a new auction‘ and choose the item you want to auction from your uploaded listings.
  4. After selecting the item, edit the price, set the timer, and add the starting time for your auction.
  5. Once everything is set, click Confirm to start your auction.
  6. When the bidding is completed, select the winning bidder from the pop-up on your screen and click ‘Finish the auction’. Then, click ‘Next’ to confirm and send the item to the successful bidder. Once an auction finishes, the item is sent to the highest bidder, who must ‘accept’ the item to close the auction. After the item is received, an order is created for fulfillment after the show.

Canceling an Auction: If you need to cancel an auction for any valid reason, click on the auction and select the three dots in the top right corner to cancel it. All placed bids will be voided, and the auction will be removed from the live show.

What if the highest bidder doesn’t accept the item? If the highest bidder doesn’t accept the item, you can give it to the next highest bidder. In the Seller Dashboard (https://dashboard.popshop.live/), go to your live show and click on the “Auctions” tab. Select the auction in question, remove the highest bidder’s send, and then in the Popshop Live app, remove their bid. The item will default to the next highest bidder.
